Well, Stephen, I'd like to believe what you're saying. I don't, and neither should the other jurors, but for the record I'd like to.

I'm going to throw this out to the other jurors for when they read this - yes. Kass is complimenting you. She is good at that. But in the last game that she and Katie pregamed together in, Kass openly admitted to lying to the other jurors after she was voted off so that Katie would look more sympathetic, figuring that if she (Kass) couldn't win, at least her pregame ally could. It's also pretty funny that Katie's opening statement directly quotes stuff I've said in this thread. It's almost like someone's been telling her what we've been talking about!

As for this vote, from a personal standpoint I'd like to vote for Katie, but from a gameplay standpoint, I'm stumped. LJ hasn't done anything spectacular IMO (he's just chugged along and went with the Brian vote but that was more of Yul/Katie's doing IMO) and won the FIC when it might have been him had he not won it. I'm still not sure whether I'd like to vote for Katie though...

Kass, it doesn't really make sense that you wanted to win this game if you kept Katie around. She was pretty obviously the dominant one in your relationship, and you openly admit you couldn't get her to do things you wanted her to do, so why not show the jury that you were capable of playing your own game? If you really thought LJ wasn't that good of a player, like you're trying to say here, then why not go to the finals with him and Candice? Wouldn't that have been a smarter route?

As for you and me:

Julie- Rob, you know I like you out of the game, but my main ally (Katie) was on board with the "Get Julie Out" train. It seemed to be the consensus at the time (and duh it was personal from Katie's perspective) and as much as I liked you out of the game, I didn't want to risk blowing up my game by revealing my alias and then throwing my allies into the crossfire. Plus, we hadn't talked strategy since like...Round 2 where you said I was your favorite on the tribe (or whatever it was) and we never really touched base after that besides the Ken vote so to me, I felt like if I was going to stick with the Ares crew, I was settling for a rather blech placing. I hope we can mend our friendship because I like you lots.

Really? You like me lots? That's news to me. Seems to me you didn't like me enough to do any of the following things:

1: Be honest with me when I asked you out-of-game if you had anything to do with my voteoff. Seems to me you swore profusely that you weren't in the game and you were completely uninvolved.
2: Stop Katie from being a vengeful bitch and attacking me for the second game in a row.
3: Refrain from getting personal with your parchment so I'd know exactly why I was getting taken out
4: Not tell people I'm a sociopath.

It's kinda funny that you could separate in-game/out-of-game when it came to voting me off, but you couldn't do that for Katie, ever. If that's how you treat people you like lots, I really do fear for the people that you dislike.

My plan for the win was utilizing the whole F8 vote thing, considering I was the one who had to use the double vote (so if I hadn't flipped it would've been 5-3 Katie gets booted or if I hadn't used my double vote it would've been 4-4). As for our dynamic, of course Katie's the more naturally domineering of the two of us. It's just a fact. As for not going to the end with LJ/Candice, LJ still would've swept (or come close to it) so that point is moot. I assumed (incorrectly of course) that Katie would have felt some semblance of loyalty to me for saving her ass at Final 8 (whoops). As for believing what I had to say about the other jurors, that should be for them to decide, not you. I'm being honest in what I've said about you and them because at this point, I have no reason to lie (even if I wanted to)


1: Of course I didn't tell you I was in the game. I didn't want you to be pissed at me for NOT going out of my way to save you and I had to lie after the fact because I was still in game mode. If I had told you who I was and had broken that facade, I would've only been doing a disservice to myself.
2: I don't have that kind of power over Katie and you know as well as I do that she does what she feels like regardless of whether or not it ends up being detrimental towards her game. I can't control what my friends or allies do as much as I'd like to.
3: My parchment was actually the Disney lettering and you'll be able to see that post-game but you're more than welcome to assume I was a person who used your name. I didn't use your name because for me, it wasn't personal voting for you because I had a good relationship with you.
4: There are actions you take that could be described or taken as sociopathic. Having no empathy for others (as you yourself have claimed), not taking interest in their conversations because they're beneath you. I'm not saying you are a sociopath but in a game like this, you have to treat people well and yeah, there's only so much one can take. It got to a point with you where I felt like whatever I would tell you was going nowhere because you were too entrenched in your own ego to see perspective so for me, it came to a place where I felt I was better off not disclosing my identity.

As for not separating in and out of game, of course I had to with you. I knew if I told you my identity as the game was going on, you'd try and use me (because you've done it before) so don't try and play the victim as if I'm this "bad person" for not sharing who I was with you. There's a clear double-standard here where if I had told you who I was before the game, you would've been more than happy to work with me because I was someone you could've used easily but now all of a sudden because I worked with someone you admittedly hate (who I've told you before that I was friends with out of the game), I'm bad for not working with you and for not telling you who I am. Yet, you know I've played these proboards games and didn't come to me either. So if you're suddenly saying how I should've been the one to come to you, couldn't you have also been the one to come to me about this? You're clearly playing the victim here because someone didn't work with you who usually does when they can (and someone who you manipulate the shit out of when they play with you) so now you have to make me out to be this bad person because you can't accept the fact that...

1. The votes were there anyway.
2. Someone like me (who you obviously deem as unintelligent) has beaten you rather than tell you who I am and become a loyal minion of yours
3. You aren't a victim like you so desperately want people to believe. You just got outplayed (and admittedly, Katie's bitchfits had partly to do with it but you weren't part of anyone's end-game. I even said at one point that I liked you and would've preferred taking you farther but the numbers weren't there, frankly).

Really? Because when you did the same thing to me in Canada, did I get pissed at you? No. I took your apology at face value and would happily have voted for you in the end. I never once said in that game that you should have done anything different, and I never accused you of being a bad anything for letting that happen.

Fair enough. I will admit I was wrong on that, then. But, then who was the random parchment? Was there a third FGCer in your pregame?

I have literally no idea how to respond to this. Anybody takes actions that could be described as sociopathic. Heck, I take you lying to me over and over when there's no longer any game reason to do so as a sociopathic level of dishonesty, and I take you lying to the jurors in Canada to try and make Chase more sympathetic as a sociopathic level of devotion to another person who obviously doesn't care too much about you.

I don't have empathy for other people, and I have difficulty taking interest in conversations because I'm autistic. That's not an ego thing, that's a handicap, and something I've worked my entire life to overcome. You absolutely know that, so for you to twist that into a negative thing and use it against me to win a game is frankly one of the nastiest things I have ever seen.

It got to a point with you where I felt like whatever I would tell you was going nowhere because you were too entrenched in your own ego to see perspective so for me, it came to a place where I felt I was better off not disclosing my identity.

I think you and I are remembering our conversations very differently, because as I recall it was like two straight months of you going, "Rob, you secretly hate me," and me going out of my way to prove that I didn't, and then you going, "Rob, you're going to hold [thing I was dishonest about] against me," and me saying I wouldn't, and then not doing that. So if you felt like your conversations were going nowhere, it's because you'd have the same panic attack every single freaking day, and every single freaking day I'd try to assuage your imaginary fears about me, and there was nothing I could ever say or do to convince you that my intentions were good. Seriously, how do you think that felt? Every day you'd accuse me of hating you and wanting to hurt you, and then when I'd deny that I'd get called a liar, and apparently I'm just so wrapped up in my ego that I couldn't see how much of a liar I am.

I'm going to say this definitively, since your entire argument is predicated on your incorrect assumption that I think you should have worked with me or disclosed your identity to me in this game. Read my post again - I didn't say that. In this entire jury thread, I have never once said that. Let me be absolutely clear here - I've never once said that you should have shared your identity with me in game[/b]. Never.

Out of game, when I asked you point-blank whether you had anything to do with it? Yes, that I take issue with. Lying to me about that was a dick move.

My entire point was that if you could divorce whatever threadbare friendship we had (and it can't have been much of one since, golly gee, apparently all I ever do is use you and manipulate you because I think you're unintelligent (again, this is your assumption)) then why couldn't you divorce your friendship with Katie? Why were you so fanatically devoted to her?

And, I'm sorry, but when you lie to me and say the things you said, and you make all of these accusations based on things that you assume about me when I did absolutely nothing to you in this game, how is that me "playing the victim"? Did you not do those things? If I'm not a victim, then by all means, tell me, what did I do in this game to deserve that treatment?

I know I wasn't part of anybody's endgame. I wasn't playing this game very hard, and I knew I wasn't likely to win it. If you guys hadn't dragged personal shit into it, then I wouldn't have cared about going home at all. And I really have no idea how you can come in here, after you helped other people take out-of-game revenge on me, make all of these attacks on my character based on out-of-game stuff and accuse me of being this horrible person based on things that you imagine that I think about you and stuff I never said, and then have the gall to dismiss me as just playing the victim.

I wasn't the one who made it personal. I'm sorry you feel that way because I wasn't the one trying to make it into a personal thing (again, that was Katie). I wasn't taking advantage of you being autistic in the slightest so don't come to me with that shit because you know as well as I do that I wouldn't stoop to that level. It's just that when you use your lack of empathy for others as an excuse to do whatever the fuck you want that gets under my skin. Fair enough but you don't have the right to say that I was turning it into some negative thing to win a game (when I was aware I had my game tanked at 7) because I wouldn't do that. You may not be able to see this perspective issue but from my side, you've come off as condescending to me in almost every game (whether you intended to or not) and that does get old after a while, especially when you look at someone as your friend. It felt impossible to tell you any of that because it was clear from my end that you wouldn't take what I said seriously (or you'd just dismiss it which to me, was commonplace). The reason I felt uncomfortable telling you once you were voted out was not because it was you specifically, it was because I was worried about your reaction. Despite the whole Canada situation, I still didn't want to take any chances and ruin what friendship we had (again poor judgment on my part). And yes, I admit most of my judgment calls in this game were bad whether they were in reference to you or to anyone else.

After all is said and done, I hold no ill will towards you or anyone else in this game, Rob and I hope you find it in you to forgive me for being a general asshole and I hope we'll be able to move on from this. All the best to you.
