Round 3- Swapped and Confused

1) What was your reaction to the tribe swap?


I was surprised it happened this early. I assumed we wouldn't have one for another round or two but the game's afoot, isn't it? I've gotta just make lemonade out of these lemons...or lemon meringue pie since that's pretty good too. I would have liked us to stay together so we could have won challenges but I'm not even certain whether or not we would have won that most recent challenge anyway.

2) How do you feel you will do in this new tribe? Have you been given new life, or are you in a bit of trouble?


I feel fantastic about this new tribe swap strangely enough. I'm on a tribe with my closest allies, Yul and Candice and we have a majority over Ken and Stephanie, two of the original Athena tribe. If it were up to me, I'd choose to vote for Stephanie since she hasn't talked to me at all (Ken hasn't but at least he's been in the blast chat which is more than I can say for Stephanie). My only concern (which is one Candice/Yul share) is that one of them has an idol. Part of me thinks Stephanie doesn't really know what she's doing so she can't possibly have an idol but another part of me is saying that I can't underestimate her. As for Ken, I don't know where his head is at at all so I don't know what he'll do.

3) If you went to tribal last round, how did you react when you found out who got voted off?

I didn't go to tribal but I still wasn't surprised that Brenda went (again, Brian and Katie told me about what was happening and I believed him)

Gah. It sucks to lose this challenge especially after winning those first two. Things are going to be dicey tonight, that's for sure. Stephanie has told me flat-out that I have to flip if I want 6th with them (girl...) so I was like "uh let me think about it" and haven't gotten back to her since. I also know she has the idol since I was able to crack open the temple and it turns out someone had already been there. My gut tells me it's Stephanie who is, of course, on our tribe. A tribe of FIVE, mind you. While old Ares does maintain a 3-2 majority, we don't necessarily have enough numbers to take out Stephanie. SO what we've done is recruit Ken, telling him that if he votes Steph, he's safe (which is actually hypothetically true since if Steph did use her idol, she'd use it to knock one of us out). The only wrinkle in this is Ken's actual loyalty. As much as he says he isn't close with Stephanie, I won't be able to tell until Tribal Council results are up and someone's had their torch snuffed. I feel like if Stephanie does use her idol, it'll be to get rid of me but I'm hoping that's just the paranoia talking.

What I see happening right now based on what I know...
Voting for Ken: Candice, Yul
Voting for Stephanie: Me, Ken
Voting for someone else: Stephanie

The only two problems with this plan are if Ken flops to Stephanie and she idols him (though she's rather selfish so I don't see that happening), or if Stephanie piggybacks on the Ken votes, thus sending him out (since he's trying to convince her it's him so she won't use her idol). It's a bit tricky right now, but I hope we'll be able to make some headway
