An immunity challenge was announced, but...no merge news? Really? I hope it gets revealed around then, because if we don't merge at 12 or 11, that's no bueno. I mean, we could at 9 still, but it seemed so weird with the three tribe format. I'm hoping the "challenge" is for individual immunity rather than tribal, because I really want the merge to come and quickly. Hopefully, that's when I can work some Brian-magic and make sure the votes all start to line up. If we do merge at 11 or 10 or 9, that wouldn't be fun. Losing any challenge means I'm at risk of leaving the game, whether it's a 99% chance or a .01% chance, and I don't really want to risk it. Tribal council doesn't scare me as much as others, and I'm fine losing challenges, but not when we're down to 4 members. Ideally if there are more challenges, Hades can throw one or two to try and keep the other numbers a lot safer. I mean, I could even see us swapping again into 2 tribes, but I highly doubt we'd merge at 9 with the current tribal situation, because there's a potential of one tribe getting totally Ulonged.
As the game stands right now, I'm hoping my anti-Julie campaigning pays off and we get the votes to take her out. She's a previous winner, and every winner deserves their win, however they got there. It's not like winners deserve another chance at a game, but it means they did something right to win, whether it's strategically or socially. Also, not talking to Julie means there's absolutely no reason for us to team up and work together. Why keep someone who won't work with you?
If Athena loses and we don't merge, my best bet is to make sure Todd goes home. He's someone I can't and don't want to talk to, and is an easy vote. Of course, I could easily go home, but I want to preach Athena as much as possible so we can stick together. Then, when we merge, all bets are off and it'll get a whole lot crazier.
If might have to edit my title depending on whether the merge is this round or not.

Aaaaaaand a new temple. I. Want. Seriously, I'm gonna work my butt off to get it because Teresa and Austin both have them, and I came so close to getting the Athena idol in the first place. I shall claim it as mine, for I am a slightly above average player!

The challenge is an interesting one, to say the least. I bid 1 coin, mostly because I don't care that much about the reward inside, and am willing to leave it open for someone else to get. Although I don't think I need it as much as some, I'd rather take it away from someone like Julie or Todd, potential targets. Challenges are something I usually don't like winning because I don't want to add to the target on my back. There are some immunities I do really fight for, if I feel I'm in danger or I need to ensure someone else gets it. Overall though, I don't like it. I'm a strategic player, and a social player, and I don't want to just beast at challenges as well, because the first time I would lose, I'd be gone. I prefer safety via intrigue and diplomacy rather than challenge prowess. I don't think I have any reason to worry tonight, but winning immunity in this case doesn't hurt: it keeps it away from Julie, keeps me safe, and the challenge is luck, so if I win it's not like I'm some "challenge beast". It's, "Oh man, Brian got lucky this time." I'm hoping my large band of numbers on all sides will join together and remove a few non-Brian players, before we they all turn on each other. I love watching players cannibalize each other, as long as it benefits, or does not harm, my personal game.

My first ever individual immunity! Cool, so now I get to move on the F11, but I think this immunity was the absolute least important to win. I have no need of this, but it took it away from...other people.
So, the very first Zeus vote-off is looking like Sabrina. She's been inactive, and has "an idol", so remove her before Julie. If she's inactive, she'll just get removed anyways and give an even more angry Julie that spot instead. Austin is pushing for it because he doesn't want to ostracize the other Ares members, which I think is kind of bullshit, because he's going to anyway. What this means is he's openly showing me he's playing an individual game, or keeping his options open, which is shady. Everyone does it, but you can't let them know you're doing it, which is the major issue. His green is showing, and this could potentially eliminate any long-term plans with Austin right now. I'm going to be more cautious around him for now.
Kass is also freaking out right now, because she's terrified that Teresa is gunning for her, because Teresa said Candice was a target and then forgot Candice was in the group of 7, so Kass now interprets it as "Teresa is gunning for us oh no so shady vote her out." Is T-Bird shady? Yes. Is she gunning for you? No. Do we need her vote? Yes. It seems simple enough that keeping her is KEY right now...mostly for me, but oh well. Kass is way too paranoid so far. Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe T-Bird does want her out, but it doesn't add up. If someone wants to work with you, and you're in the minority, you accept their help and then try and remove them later. Not this round, not next round, but when they become a detriment to your game or you don't need them any longer. For example, Teresa is here as long as I need that vote who is more loyal to Athena then Ares, but when the numbers shift, then she becomes expendable in the now. Also, things are always, and I mean absolutely, 100%, ALWAYS, subject to change. The game is constantly changing, so the way you wanna do something one minute might be a total 180 the next minute. Kass needs to reign her paranoia in, and relax for a bit. Otherwise, if she gets too wild and starts to act in an unpredictable manner, then I'll have to cut ties with her. Everyone is somewhat worried, but you can't be that paranoid because you over think everything and then boom, you're gone because your mind zoomed past the logical decision making.

Oh, and I have some news on the boxes.
Teresa got a gag gift. Austin got a disadvantage at the next challenge. Kass got a double vote. Yul got an idol that nullifies other idols. LJ got meat.
