1) Another blindside!! How did you react to the vote?
I reacted in a sense where I wasn't surprised because I was on the right side of the vote, but I as also a little bit sad to see Austin go. I liked him a lot as a person and I hope he holds no ill-will towards me (though I wouldn't be surprised if he did). I felt good about the move from a strategic standpoint because I wasn't sure where Austin's loyalties stood. Honestly, if he had bothered to tell me about the idol OR been more flexible about voting out say, Jay, over Katie, I would've definitely gone back to Austin but at the end of the day, Austin's information withholding got to such an extent where I realized I probably wasn't in his endgame plans (or if I was, I wasn't made aware of it OR I was to be taken out before FTC). I came here to make it to the end and plead my case to the jury and with Austin, I was certain I wasn't going to get a chance to do that. From a personal standpoint I felt bad but from a strategic standpoint, it felt as though there wasn't any other move I could have made (at least not one that would advance my game).
2) This is the F7 vote. Will this vote be easy, or is another blindside in the works?
My assumption at this point is that it won't be a blindside in the sense that Yul is well aware he's on the block but I'm not sure if he knows he's going. So if he does know, then it is. That seems to be who the plan is for right now, anyway. It could definitely shift (and I'd be open to it shifting depending on who it shifted to) but for now, the vote's on Yul. Candice/Brian/Katie/myself will presumably all vote that way since we're a bloc of four. If Yul does come up to me with a more enticing offer, I'd be more than willing to flip the script...so long as it's against LJ or Jay, the two people I have no real connection to. Part
of me feels like from a strictly "deserving" standpoint, Yul should stay because he has worked his ass off to get here. I've told myself time and time again that it doesn't matter who is or isn't "deserving". What matters is getting myself to the end with the best shot at winning and if that means taking out bigger threats, it means I have to do that.
3) What are you going to do ensure you make it to the end and win at the FTC?
Basically, the only person I'm certain I can beat is Candice and once Final 4 hits, Katie and Brian will probably realize (if they don't already) that Candice is who I plan on taking to the end. Candice is someone who outside of the game, I'm quite familiar with and is one of my closest friends. In this game, Candice seems to just be chill and having a good time which is fun, but something tells me the jury may not be too fond of that. If that's the case, Candice is the person who would be easiest to beat. On the other hand, if I brought Katie to FTC, I could smack down any argument of her's with "Well if I hadn't flipped AND double voted at F8, she'd be on the jury so I'm kind of the reason she made it past that tribal, let alone all the way here." I'm not sure how well received that would be, but at this point, it's the best argument I have. That, and I was on the pulse of all of the blindsides of this game so if there's a jury who is looking for a winner that played strategically, I think I might have it. If the jury preferred someone who was more social, I definitely would be lacking in that department because admittedly, I haven't spent as much time investing in these people as I should have. It'll just be a balancing act.
