So Yul was voted out at the previous Tribal Council which, from a game standpoint, is great because at that point, it became 3 v. 1 with Katie/Candice/myself against LJ. We figured we'd at least have two shots to get him out since we (stupidly) assumed it was going to be a Final 2. Lo and behold, we get treemail saying that it is, in fact, a Final 3. This put all of us on edge because we realized we HAD to prevent LJ from making it to the end because we assumed he'd win (because, yes, the jury is that butthurt). So we agreed on a time for the live challenge and it's like 10:15 and LJ and I are there and suddenly, Katie has to leave because her family is over (which is totally understandable) and I text Candice (since I'm friends with her out of game) and she responds that she's too sick (also understandable) to participate. I figure, okay well...I'm kind of fucked because live challenges really are NOT my strong suit. Turns out I was right. Weird. So, LJ wins Immunity dashing my hopes and dreams of Final 3 with two close friends, as well as presumably snatching the crown from me (or Katie since I have no idea which of us the jury would begrudgingly vote for). At this point, I've talked to Candice and Katie about it and we all agreed that Candice will presumably be the one going at tonight's Tribal Council. As bitter as this jury may be, I don't see a real argument LJ could have against Katie and I besides winning Final Immunity which secured him a spot in the FTC.
With this jury, the only votes I'm sure I'm getting are Candice and Brian. That's 2/8. Austin, Julie, and Teresa will all presumably vote for LJ because apparently going into the game with ONE person in a cast of 18 (when you don't even meet up till merge, mind you) is cheating? I don't know. That's what I'd imagine Julie's telling them. Funny thing is, you know if she had made the end with me she'd have no problem with this pregame business. Whatever. I now have to see what my best case is to the jury. Honestly, if I conduct myself in a polite enough manner and calmly explain why I played the best game, I think the jury would see past this "pregame" nonsense. It'll just be a matter of making sure the jury has their ego stroked well. I can worry about my pride later.
