*walks out of my spyshack*
Wait, what?! It's the finals?
I'm sure many of you are just as surprised as I am that good 'ole Purple Candice is sitting in the finals. This was a pretty big shocker to me tbh. I thought for several rounds during this game that I was donefor, and woke up the next morning to positive news. This final especially I figured that it would have been me going... but alas I am still here.
I came into this game without many expectations. I'm not a big player in these types of games so I wasn't sure what to expect as well as how I would do. I made some friends early on in this game and ended up sticking with them as long as I could. I knew that if I came into this game guns-blazing that I would be an easy target to get voted out. We saw that with several strong players that got targeted simply for being social, strategic, and jury threats. Names like Teresa, Yul, and Austin come to mind. Two of these people had idols and once we realized how much of a threat they were, their heads were already chopped off.
I didn't play the best social game.
Nor did I play the best challenge game.
One thing I tried to do was implement a strategy and stick with it.
I wanted to be under the radar. People probably forgot I was in this game! I stuck close to the people that I knew trusted me, and always swung in the right direction for the votes. I knew big targets would go home so I intentionally was borderline inactive. I knew that this strategy would prolong my survival. It ended up getting me to the end because no one viewed me as a big threat. Tons of other people had to backstab and lie to their friends and allies to get here, but I stuck with my close-knit group and rode it as far as I could.
Alas, here I am in the finals. I hope you all respect the strategy and way I chose to play. I had a set idea on how I wanted to play from the beginning, and I've stuck with it to the bitter end. I wasn't the most dominant player socially or strategically, but I did one thing better than the rest. I utilized my particular set of skills and always was able to maneuver my game to fit that strategy.
